Writing Coach
Over the past several years, I (Sam Korsmoe) have heard the phrase “I have an idea for a book” too many times to count. This utterance of this phrase picked up during the research stages of my book on the future of Vietnam and the founding of the Saigon Writers Club. I often didn’t know what to say other than to encourage the person to simply start writing. Well, that’s easier said than done so I have created an alternative option. Take a look here at our Writing Coach Program. If you truly do have an idea for a book and really are interested in writing it down rather than talking about it, this program is for you.
Editing and Publishing
This service involves prepping for publication a manuscript that has been written in full by a writer and he/she needs assistance in the final editing, layout, design, pre-production and publication of the manuscript into a published book. This includes beta reading a manuscript. The publishers involved will primarily be vanity press publishers such as Ingram Sparks, Book Baby, and Amazon. The key work involved is completing the final steps of the writing process for the author (i.e. editing and copywriting) and then producing the book on the publisher’s template and getting it approved for publication. The final product is a completed hard or soft copy of the book as well as an ebook that is distributed through all ebook networks. The printed book can be purchased by the author in bulk for distribution through his/her own networks.

Creative Translations
This is a translation service between English and Vietnamese specifically for fiction and creative works. It is not for business, historical, industrial, or technical documents though it may include copy writing for advertising companies. The niche market of the service is replication of the style, voice, tone, and mood of the original author and manuscript in one language (either Vietnamese or English) into the second language without losing any of the original author’s authenticity and voice.
First Step: Send us via email the content (Vietnamese or English) that you wish to have trans-created and we will review. As required, we will sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) regarding the content and its intellectual property.
Memoirs and Autobiographies
This service involves the researching, interviewing, and writing of memoirs and biographies for a specific person, family, or potentially a company. It’s their story that they want told. This service involves completing the research, conducting the necessary interviews, and writing the manuscript for the client’s review. The next step of getting it published will be treated separately.
First Step: Send us an email describing who or what the memoir is going to be about.
Ghost Writing
This product involves the researching, interviewing, and writing of a specific topic, person, issue, or event that is completed by the Saigon Writers Club and then handed over to the client who puts his/her name on the finished product. The original writer remains completely anonymous or is noted with language such as ‘In collaboration with….’ or ‘Author’s Name with ……’ This product assumes that the Saigon Writers Club team will not receive any editorial recognition or credit for the completed work.
First Step: Send us an email describing the topic that is to be written about and the quantity and quality of the research and resources that exist on the subject and/or are in hand currently.
Contract Research and Writing
This is a contract to research, interview, write, and produce a specific manuscript that is either fiction or nonfiction as directed by the client. It could be a company profile, a profile of a person, industry report, or the story of an event, family, product, city, country, or anything else for which a creative work of writing (fiction or nonfiction) is required.
